The Name Revealed to Moses: YAHAWAH – The Eternal Memorial

The Question of Moses

When the Most High appeared to Mashah (Moses) in the burning bush, He gave not just a mission but His Name.
Moses, uncertain of how Israel would respond, asked a simple but eternal question:

“When I come unto the children of Yasharal, and they shall say to me, ‘What is His Name?’ what shall I say unto them?”
– Exodus 3:13

This moment was not about titles. It was about identity.

“I AM That I AM” – AHAYAH

The Most High first revealed His self-existence:

Exodus 3:14
And Aluah said unto Moses, AHAYAH ASHAR AHAYAH (I AM that I AM). And He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Yasharal, AHAYAH hath sent me unto you.

Here, AHAYAH (𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤄) declares that He exists by Himself — uncreated, eternal, and sovereign.

The Eternal Covenant Name – YAHAWAH

But the revelation did not stop there. He gave Moses the memorial Name for all generations:

Exodus 3:15
Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Yasharal, YAHAWAH Aluah of your fathers, the Aluah of Abraham, the Aluah of Isaac, and the Aluah of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is My Name forever, and this is My memorial unto all generations.

In Paleo-Hebrew (LaShawan Qadash):

𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄 = YAHAWAH
𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤄 = AHAYAH

  • YAHAWAH (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄) is His covenant Name, not to be replaced.

  • AHAYAH (𐤀𐤇𐤉𐤄) reveals His eternal self-existence.

Together, they form the foundation of His revealed identity.

Why His Name Matters

Over time, translations replaced YAHAWAH with titles like “LORD” or “God.” But Scripture is clear:

  • His Name is forever (Exodus 3:15).

  • His Name is our refuge (Proverbs 18:10).

  • His Name is to be declared among the nations (Psalm 105:1).

To know His Name is to stand on truth, not tradition. To proclaim His Name is to honor His covenant.

A Call to Yasharal

We live in a world where names are hidden, changed, or diluted. Yet YAHAWAH preserved His Name as a memorial so His people would not forget.

At Praise and Proof Ministries, we lift up His Name in its original form:

YAHAWAH – the Aluah of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
AHAYAH – the I AM who exists eternally

Let us proclaim His Name with reverence and boldness.

Halalwa-YAH!
